Teacher Style: Sweater Weather

Sweater weather is officially back here in Minnesota after some hot and humid days!  Today I’m going to be sharing with you another teacher style of mine that is so easy to recreate!  This outfit is perfect for days when you want to be warm and comfortable yet still look put together.

LOFT just had another 40% off sale.  There are so many cute fall clothes at LOFT this year, so of course I had to buy a few more things during the sale.  I’m pretty sure most of my new clothes are from LOFT.

I absolutely love the color of this sweater!  I’m not even sure how to exactly describe this color.  It’s like a purple, pink color.  LOFT calls this color wild cherry.  I don’t have any clothing in my closet like this color and I think it’s perfect for fall too.  The slit sleeves, slit sides, and hi-lo hemline really add a lot to this simple sweater.  This sweater runs true to size.  I’m wearing size extra small for reference.

I decided to pair this sweater with my go-to winnie pants from J. Crew Factory.  I then wore my well-loved ballet flats.  To finish off the look, I went with a statement necklace to make this look a little dressier and added some Tory Burch stud earrings.

Here are some other ways you could style this sweater:

  • On a colder day, add a puffer vest and some boots or booties
  • On a casual day, wear this sweater with jeans and tan, brown, or black booties
  • To dress this look up even more, wear heels instead of flats
  • Instead of a statement necklace, wear a longer necklace or layer some necklaces

I hope you enjoyed today’s teacher style post and found it helpful!  Let me know your favorite way to style a simple, cozy sweater in the comments below!
